Easton Farm Park

Three and a half miles from Framlingham, Easton Farm Park is a petting farm with loads of activities including pony rides, indoor play barns, wonderful café all set in the beautiful Deben river valley.

The Pier at Southwold

Decked out across the sea, this historic pillared walkway sums up an idyllic English seaside destination. It offers cafés and restaurants, a fabulous retail range, wacky hand-built machines in the Under the Pier Show, an amusement arcade and a ‘bizarre’ telescope. Regardless of the weather there’s plenty to entertain all the family.

Suffolk Owl Sanctuary

The sanctuary at Stonham Barns is a delightful place to watch, study or simply enjoy the company of owls and other birds of prey. There are over 80 raptors at the Centre, all housed in spacious aviaries and flying free in narrated flying displays or demonstrations. Stonham Barns at Stonham Aspall is a leisure and retail village where you’ll also find a golf centre, fishing lake, playground, shops and tea room.

Africa Alive!

A walking safari set in 100 acres and home to more than 80 species of animals from around Africa. Located in Kessingland near Lowestoft, around 20 miles away.

Banham Zoo

Often awarded the prize of Norfolk’s Top Attraction, the zoo is home to over 2,000 animals. 25 miles.

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park

One of Suffolk’s leading family attractions, Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft (28 miles) offers lots of thrilling rides including four roller coasters! For live entertainment visit their classic sea lion and parrot shows.

RSPB, Suffolk Coast

The RSPB has six nature reserves on the beautiful Suffolk Coast. There’s a wealth of wildlife to be seen, from tiny butterflies to majestic red deer, towering oaks to swaying reeds, and elegant avocets to mysterious nightjars. Minsmere is the flagship nature reserve, offering a variety of countryside walks and bird-watching hides, a busy programme of events and top class facilities including a shop and tearoom. It’s a great place for families and beginners to discover nature, and for experienced birdwatchers to spot one of their many rare visitors.
