Dating from around 1850, the Farmhouse is full or character with sash windows, original fireplaces and herringbone brick and wooden floors. The rooms are comfortably and tastefully furnished, spacious and light. The house has easy access to a large front garden with natural pond, rear terrace and lawn and the surrounding grounds. Guests can enjoy access to our communal games room which is situated close by in our paddock.
Grounds: To the front of the Farmhouse is a large lawn with bushes, mature trees and a pond for the exclusive use of the Farmhouse guests. To the rear of the house there is a sheltered sunny south facing terrace and lawn that is absolutely perfect for that evening Pimms and barbie (the lawn is shared with the Hayloft and Cart Lodge). There is a communal games room for the use of all guests at Boundary Farm situated in our paddock. Further afield there are literally acres to be explored and enjoyed.
Living Area: Overlooking the front lawn is the Family Room and a Sitting Room, both of generous proportions, comfortably furnished, one with an open fire. The family room is cosy and designed for snuggling up in front up of the TV, whereas the sitting room is elegantly stylish and ideal for reading a book in peace and quiet or pre-dinner drinks perhaps.
The big dining room’s main features are a large brick hearth with an ornamental wood burner, a herringbone brick floor and views over and a door to the terrace and back lawn: a great spot for long, lazy dinners! The dining room extends into a snug with sofa, coffee table, Smart TV and a shelving unit full of books and games.
The kitchen: is a modern light and airy space and overlooks the garden with doors onto the terrace and is fully equipped with all the necessities of modern life including a cooker, induction hob, microwave and dishwasher. Adjacent to the kitchen is a small utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Bedrooms: Both Bedroom 1 (double) and Bedroom 2 (twin or double) look over the front garden, have feature Victorian fireplaces, sash windows and wooden floors. Bedroom 3 (twin) is dual aspect with fabulous views to the south and west over the fields. Bedroom 4 (double) enjoys views to the south and has fitted wardrobes.
Bathrooms: Upstairs is a spacious and light family bathroom with a free standing bath, shower, washbasin and WC. Downstairs is a wet room with shower, WC and wash basin.
Minimum stay is 2 nights and 7 nights in high season
